This desk-style workstation consists of a wooden framed mock-up of ½ of a gable roof with removable deck boards with tool box and equipment stored inside the desk. Locking tool box, lock/key, and power strip. Students learn about various roof types, equipment and materials, and then shingle a section of roof according to building codes. They also explore a variety of tasks in roofing materials (other than metal) to make them waterproof including composition shingles or sheets, wood shingles and asphalt and gravel.
